We are complex human beings, feeling any number of things at once. Many of us did not learn what it means to “feel feelings” or process them in helpful ways. Maybe you have dismissed, ignored, or explained away your feelings in the past. Maybe they got you into trouble, were too much for others, or caused problems for you in some other way. Not paying attention to your feelings might work for a time. However, a build up of unprocessed emotion can lead to many mental health challenges.
I can help you learn what to do with feelings so they become more manageable, predictable, and less out of control. You can feel more at peace with yourself, not needing to abandon who you really are. Important parts of who you are can be recovered and included in who you are today.
I am a compassionate and gentle presence with you in this work. It is an honor to be invited in to the tender emotional places of another person. I am hopeful that together we can work towards your experience of feelings seeming less confusing or scary. A greater sense of empowerment and agency is possible in your life.
